Episode Summary
After surviving the Ghoul Restaurant, Ken Kaneki returns to his life at Anteiku, but Shu Tsukiyama remains dangerously obsessed with him. The Gourmet considers Kaneki’s rare half-human, half-ghoul nature an extraordinary delicacy and begins searching for a way to make his scent and taste even more appealing.
Meanwhile, Kaneki discovers that Nishiki Nishio has a human girlfriend named Kimi Nishino. Despite Nishiki’s aggressive personality and his previous attack on Kaneki and Hide, Kimi genuinely cares for him and knows that he is a ghoul. Their relationship surprises Kaneki and challenges his understanding of whether humans and ghouls can truly live together.
Tsukiyama soon discovers Kimi and kidnaps her, using her as bait to lure Kaneki and Nishiki into a trap. His plan is designed to push Kaneki through intense fear and emotional stress, which he believes will make him an even more desirable meal.
Kaneki and Nishiki confront Tsukiyama to save Kimi, but the Gourmet’s strength quickly becomes overwhelming. Kaneki is forced to fight seriously, using Rize’s powerful kagune to protect those around him.
